Day 37: Planning a Quilt

Many of you may not know that I love to quilt. I have not had a lot of time to do it since beginning my Master's degree in 2010 :(  But today, I got back to it and planned an oversize lap quilt for a great family I know. I love giving quilts away to people I know will love and appreciate them!

So here's the plan:

Using 2.5" x 5" (size when cut, now sewn) rectangles make oversized off-white and green chevron patterns.

This is in no way a perfect pattern, but at least you can get a very simplified idea. There probably won't be as many chevrons, and they'll be fatter.

The finished quilt will measure 62" x 76.5", requiring 279 off-white rectangles and 248 green rectangles!
