Saturday September 29th - RIDE 4 REFUGE
We have spent the last couple weeks fundraising our little hearts out and our friends and family came through with amazingly generous donations! After our matching of friends and family donations and Andrew's employer donation-matching $6000, we raised a total of $14, 702.74. We're so excited that these amazing organizations will receive funding for another year :)
On top of that, we had the best weather for the RIDE we've ever had. It made for an enjoyable and relaxing ride. We passed many farms and saw Mennonite children playing and horses ploughing farms, not to mention the changing fall colours.

The map above shows our ~50km route and of course we biked from our house to the start of the ride and back home after :)
Sunday September 30th - Andrew's Birthday!
The party was pulled off perfectly! It was great to have so much help with the food :) It's amazing that when everyone does a little, a delicious meal is created. I talked about the plans here.
I want to share some recipes we used:
I'll have to post a picture of the punch and crab dip when I make some more, it was gone too fast!
